Welcome! As of May 2025, Telephone World is now the new owner of This Is A Recording.
What in the Wild Wild World of Sports is a going on here?
As many of you know, Jennifer "Jenn X" Martino created this site, and the site before it (The Web Page That You Have Reached) over 20 years ago. However, this site has been dormant for several
years and fell by the wayside. Jenn grew tired of running the site and decided to shut it down.
In asking Jenn for permission to use her Cognitronics recordings, Telephone World asked about what happened to the site. She said that she lost interest in it and shut it down. When I asked her if she wanted me to take it over, she said yes. She turned over the domain to me and I am now in the process of moving the site to a new location.
So what will happen to the site? For now, not much. It will be pretty much as it was when it was last updated circa March 2021. For now, this will be more of a "static" site until I determine if I plan on adding to it. The sounds that you remember are now safe and will be around for many years to come.
